Who are we? The Club was founded over 30 years ago and it currently has about forty members of many nationalities and aged from early twenties to late fifties, male and female, couples and singles. Members’ main interests include trad and sport climbing (all grades up to E5), bouldering, alpine walking and climbing, ice climbing, winter mountaineering, via ferratas, and scrambling. Whatever your standard you are likely to find someone who matches it.
Club Trips Club trips are arranged by the committee for one weekend each month. The trip organiser will book a hut for accomodation during the winter months and select a campsite for trips in the warmer months. Information regarding the trips and details of how to book can be found on Club Events page and contained in the guide to trips document.
Social Evenings The Club meets every Thursday at Big Rock Climbing Wall, Kingston, Milton Keynes, MK10 0AG. Members will usually be present all evening to climb and plan future trips. Members can often be spotted wearing their club t-shirts and are very happy to climb with new or prospective members.
You can check the latest regular midweek gatherings on the Club facebook page (milton keynes mountaineering club) where you will also find information about club trips.
What else do members do? Many club members have other active hobbies including skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, cycling (road and mountain) and running.
