Well Lockdown is easing and the first weekend campsites were open six of us headed to North Wales for a weekend away. January sees the year start with the very popular Burn’s Meet, for winter fun and a traditional Burns dinner.  We are all fed up after almost a year without a big gathering so weren’t going to let a little global pandemic stop us from getting together for this weekend.  Alan W had planed: A, B & C all were hatched as the situation evolved.  Plan D was dodgy!  We ended up on Plan Z – Zoom.  Continue reading →

Thank you Louie for nominating me to be on the committee last year.  Also thank you COVID for spoiling our fun!  However, as much as we’ve all missed our trips and usual life this year I have noticed how much members have come together and connected in many ways due to the fact that so much was taken from us in 2020.  Some of us have been on trips, some have climbed, some have done mountaineering, some have done fantastic challenges, so it hasn’t all been negative.  Continue reading →
