It appears as though no-one is going to the Lakes this weekend, much to Dave’s dissapointment. Some will be climbing in the Peaks Saturday or Sunday if the weather is good enough.

We met again yesterday evening to continue the August Bank Holiday trip discussions. After much deliberating it went to the vote and the Vanoise National Park came out the winner. This closest airport is Grenoble.

Due to the possible/likely poor weather this weekend it was agreed, at the pub last night, that we would go to North Wales instead of Gower.

The chosen campsite is Dolgam. Most people are going up this afternoon or tonight. Contact Graham for arrangements and car sharing.

A number of members met at the Shoulder of Mutton yesterday evening to propose and discuss a suitable area/location for our August Bank Holiday trip … Although there wasn’t a final decision by the end of the evening, the suggestions were narrowed down to two main areas: the Tessin Area in Switzerland and the Ecrin/Vanoise National Parks in France.
