MKMC – November Meet 2013 – Coniston

8th-10th November – Lake District – Coniston
 
The clubs October meet in Coppermines Valley based in Yorkshire Mountaineering Clubs Hut. The YMC cottages close to the Coppermines Youth Hostel and the Barrow Mountaineering Club’s Hut. Access is from the village of Coniston via a Tarmac road between the Black Bull Pub and The Co-operative supermarket. The track becomes steep and unsurfaced. The hut is in a row of cottages on the right above the wooden bridge.
Hut comprises of a large cooking/dining area, a separate small social area with a solid fuel stove. Three dormitories providing a total of 20 bed spaces. To the rear of the cottage there are separate male and female toilets and showers with hot and cold water. There is also a drying room.

MKMC – October Meet 2013 – North Wales

4th-6th October – North Wales – Capel Curig
 
The clubs October meet in Capel Curig based in Gwydyr Mountaineering Clubs Hut
 
Tan-y-Garth Cottage is situated in woodland at the base of Moel Siabod – the area is very scenic and peaceful but convenient for local amenities including a Pub nearby and local stores in the centre of Capel Curig and in Betws y Coed, only a short drive away.
 
The hut has 20 places mixed. Mains electricity, storage heaters, hot water, showers, flush toilets, drying room, gas cooking and heating, cultery and crockery for 20, access by car

MKMC Meet – September – Peak District

The September club trip to the Peak District is only a few weeks away. We’ll be based at Hardhurst farm in Hope Valley. Free hot showers, cooked breakfast served every morning and a pub around the corner for £5 a night.

Plenty to keep you busy whatever the weather on the rock, walking, biking or on the water.  Call the camp site on 01433 620001 to book a pitch and let me know if you need a lift or have room for others.
