What a great weekend a select few of us had in North Yorkshire for our Christmas meet.
Friday 30th November
On Friday evening Gill & Adam walked up from Austwick Village on the Ingleborough Cave trail.
Saturday 1st December
On Saturday Malcolm, Michelle and Ivona climbed Whernside and Gill and Adam climbed up towards Ingleborough, stopping off at Gaping Gill to stare into the abyss.
Saturday night we all helped cook our traditional Christmas dinner, turkey with all the trimmings. Two members of the YRC joined us later and entertained us with their caving stories.
Sunday 2nd December
On Sunday Michelle walked from Clapham to Norber Rocks; Graham and Malcolm walked from Malham to Malham Tarn via Gordale Scar, then returning via Malham Cove and back to Malham. Ivona, Gill and Adam finished the cleaning and had an interesting time chatting to the cavers again.
Great trip and some quality climbs. And some extensive abseil practise!
